Haig Demarjian was trained primarily as a printmaker, earned his undergraduate degree from Middlebury College and received both an MA and an MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Relentlessly painting, printmaking and drawing for over 25 years, his artwork has been exhibited internationally and spans a broad range of media from fine art to commercial illustration to motion picture film. His prints are regularly included in group exhibitions and portfolios as well as in traveling shows such as the Engraving 2009 print portfolio and the Southern Graphics Council International Juried Members Show. Some recent commissions include paintings for the Providence Elmwood Air Gallery, for the Frederick E. Berry Library at Salem State University and for Salem State’s Viking Hall. Additionally, he expended a great deal of sweat and blood in co-masterminding the independent feature film Die You Zombie Bastards! which has won awards, been screened all over the globe and been available on DVD for well over a decade. Unable to settle on a single medium, he also spent a few years writing and drawing the adventures of his comic book creation Super Inga. Stay tuned, since at this point all aspects of his work are set to collide and there's no telling what will result.
